I LOVE that you put together these lists of interesting links (will truly miss your contribution to the BTE Newsletter because this is the part I always look forward to!), so please keep up the great work (as you can)! Also, thank you for the reminder on After Annie; I knew there was a reason I wanted to read this and you've put it back on my radar. Kill For Me Kill For You is definitely on my list, as well; may try the audio soon.
Thanks Tara, good news- I'll be doing a weekend edition (changing the name though) every weekend and it will be filled with links!! I love finding links so that's something I'm super excited to continue over here on Substack. I really want to hear your thoughts on both After Annie and Kill for Me- I'm actually going to hear Anna Quindlen speak tonight about the book and I can't wait
Wow! So far i have checked out only two links and i bet you can guess which ones they are. I will comment first on the 50 books that everyone must read before they die. I think I have read three on the list. I am not sure but think I got lost in the article and wandered into the best mysteries that everyone must read because I saw Gone Girl on the list. That was shocking to me because I did not particularly care for that book. if that book as well as Absolute Power was on the list, then I read five. Absolute Power was David Baldacci‘s at his best. Now onto the coffee link. I drink my coffee black. However, I do not see myself as being single minded. I can get focused and stuck in the groove and can’t see things outside of what I am thinking but I for the most part consider all perspectives. I am fitness oriented. In my younger days, I did aerobics constantly signing up wherever they held that class. I also took ballet as an adult and Jazzercise for the stretching and dance. Also belong to a gym and worked out. Now that I’m an old lady, I stick to walking because it’s safe. Lol I am a very determined person. However, I have had to be throughout my life. When I make up my mind to do something, you can be sure that I will accomplish it. I could go on and on about personality. The biggest question throughout my life has been how my personality had to change or adapt to my disability. I often question am I persistent and determined because I’ve had to be or because it was there before my disability. I will leave you with one Chucko. I am surprised that in the personality description for black coffee drinkers that they did not say I’d like to be organized but I don’t want to be the one to do it. I want everyone to organize me. Lol great article And thank you for all the work you did research this stuff for us.
Thanks Kathy, That 50 book list was fun, I'm still perusing it. And the coffee personalities was entertaining - I'm technically a coffee with creme girl but those options were for what would be ordered while out and I always order lattes. I love how a fun article like that leads to getting to know people better. Just via our email exchanges I can tell your a determined person - if we lived closer I'd organize for you haha. I've had a lot going on recently and my go to anxiety reducer is to clean and organize
Thank you for this great go to list of things to look forward to when I get bored with my routine or have trouble finding something. I appreciate your research.
I too have been on a stone-cold streak with audiobooks, but I’m happy to spend time with Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford while I wait!
Hope you find an audiobook you love soon!
