I’m so excited to read Fire Exit, which is set on the Penobscot Reservation (near my home). Apparently Morgan Talty is considered a local author because my hold came through today - pub day 🎉. This never happens!!

I enjoyed Sandwich - as a woman of a certain age, I really felt very seen 🥹

Really excited for both of those- interesting about Morgan Talty, yay for pub day grabs at the library! I'm here for these stories of mid life women, they're having a moment!

I seem to have a thing for books set in Ireland (also Irish authors), and The Coast Road sounds very intriguing! This is new to me, so thrilled to have found it in your list! I'm also very curious about Sandwich, so I hope you get a chance to read it. Great selections of possibilities, Renee!

Thanks Tara, I just found The Coast Road at Barnes and Noble and couldn’t believe I haven’t seen one single review for it. I think it sounds really good and I read the first couple pages and liked the writing. Sandwich is on my asap TBR:)

"I've Tried Being Nice" caught my eye, as I've been a bit of a people pleaser in the past (especially at work :/ )

Same as you know! We should talk about this one together:)

Thank you for the Ann Leary title; I have it on my audio TBR. And I am adding "Forgotten on Sunday." I have read two other books by this author and especially loved "Fresh Water for Flowers."

I have a print copy of Fresh Water for Flowers! I’m going to read from my shelves in July so that might be one I pick:)

Awesome list! I’m going with a mission to reduce social media time to read more this summer also. I’m planning on getting through a lot of the buzzy books, especially Funny Story, The Paris Novel, All The Colors of the Dark, Summer Romance. I also want to listen to the audiobook for Ann Leary’s nonfiction! I didn’t realize she’s married to Dennis Leary.

Ohhhh I didn't know Ann Leary was married to Dennis Leary either! Interesting. I have to cut way back on social media if I hope to read and enjoy as many books as I hope to this summer. I'm considering it a summer experiment:)

Bright and Tender Dark caught my eye- I haven’t seen it on any list before yours! And Sandwich has been on my TBR for a while now- one of my most anticipated!

Fire Exit, Forgotten On Sunday, Sandwitch and The Coast Road are all books that I will be checking out. My only priority was to read You Are Here which I started yesterday. After that I’m basically going to read whatever floats my boat at the moment.

Cheers to floating your reading boat in June!🥂 I'm with you, this is also my plan:)

I am half way through You Are Here and loving it. Love that it is NOT an enemies to lovers trope and that the main characters are NOT 20 somethings. I am liking it as much as One Day.

Hi Renee, I'm really trying not to get every book that I think I should read, but your list made me order 2 from the library: Forgotten on Sunday (I love Perrin's work) and The Last 12 Miles (wasn't on my radar). I am 12% into Wolf at the Table (thanks to your reco) and need to read The Travelling Cat Chroicles (Hiro Arikawa) for my book group coming up on Sunday. I haven't planned the rest of my reading for the month but I have an endless supply of TBRs on my shelves.

Hi Jan, I hear you, there are so many books and not enough room on our tbr’s right? I’m really excited about The Last 12 Miles and haven’t heard anyone talking about it which is surprising. With your background I hope it’s a winner for you, Please let me know what you think of Wolf at the Table. I just had another long convo about it today with a bookstagrammer, that book just begs to be discussed!

Bright and Tender Dark sounds so goood, I'll be waiting for your review!

Thank you Renee, I’ve added a couple of titles to my Libby holds! I feel like June has so many books to get excited about. I’m especially looking forward to Sandwich as I love a family drama and I visited there last year. I’m probably most excited for Elin Hilderbrand’s last Nantucket novel, Swan Song….these books are just such fun breezy summer reads! Also can’t wait for the Ann Leary book as the Good House and the Children were 5⭐️😊

I’m also going to try Swan Song! I totally forgot about Ann Leary’s book The Children, thank you for reminding me about it. I keep hearing great things about Sandwich, so excited for it

I seem to be on a non fiction kick, I hadn’t heard of I Tried Being Nice, definitely putting it on my TBR and I also think Sandwich sounds like a great summer book!
