Hello and Happy Friday!
I had to double check the calendar before I started this post today because I could’ve sworn that next weekend was the last weekend in June! I blinked and this month is almost gone. Maybe you feel the same way:) We’re still stifling under heat advisories here in Ohio (as I know many of you are too), but they say it’s supposed to break tonight around 8:00pm, so fingers crossed. I’ve been getting Vinny out super early for his morning walks, so on the plus side I’m getting out for early morning fresh air and exercise a couple hours before I normally used to.
You know what that means? Less time on my laptop and phone in the early morning hours which feels pretty good. Is it just me or are you also spending less time on screens this summer? I feel like I pop on Instagram and I’m not seeing that many people I know posting. Or maybe I’m just barely on there which is true, I’m not particularly feeling Instagram this summer.
What I have been feeling is super happy with my reading life! I’ve had three 5 star ⭐️ reads this month and I’m 40% into a new release that as the potential to be in my top 5 reads of the year. I’ve also been watching some great tv and have listened to a few podcast episodes I’ve loved. I also have a notable self care ritual I’ve been enjoying lately. It’s super simple, but it’s made a huge difference at the end of the day. I’ll share all of this below! I can’t wait to hear your favorites and notables for June.
