Shelf Talkers #3: What Booksellers Are Recommending
Shelf talkers I recently spotted + 8 more from the shelves of Thunder Road Books, including a new to me "raw, heartbreaking romance"
Welcome to the third issue of Shelf Talkers, a regular series of book recommendations straight from the experts- booksellers! Shelf talkers are small (often handwritten) signs in front of books used to grab our attention and tell us why we need to buy that book. The best shelf talkers are written by booksellers and, in just a few words, let us know what kind of book it is, why they loved it, and who would love this type of book. I can never, ever, resist a shelf talker.
For this issue, I’m sharing three shelf talkers I spotted at Barnes & Noble, and for paid subscribers I have an extra bonus of eight shelf talkers recommended by bookstore manager Kate who picked them straight from the shelves of Thunder Road Books. If you’d like these (plus past/future shelf talkers), consider upgrading to a paid subscription and if you missed Kate’s Literary profile, be sure to read it now for behind the scenes of her reading, bookstore life and more…
