NYT best books, a 5 ⭐️ backlist winner, & some fantastic links you'll love
plus the very best title I've seen all summer
Hello!
Happy Sunday! This weekend has been a slower one for us which has been nice. The weather in Ohio has been perfect and we were able to get in some boating, walking, and biking. My only frustration this week was being unable to land on a book that I cared enough about to keep reading. When I finished my last read last Saturday (see below) which was a 5 star read, I thought I’d cruise right into another book. That didn’t happen. I began sampling and nothing was grabbing me. Cut to days later and still nothing to read. I don’t know about you, but when I don’t have a book to look forward to reading or listening to I get grumpy. I feel out of sorts when I’m not reading!
I know many of you can relate to what I’m saying, but good news….yesterday I started an audio I’m LOVING (I’m already 45% and predict I’ll binge the rest today on a long bike ride), and dipped into a backlist I’ve been meaning to read and so far so good. The backlist I’ll mention below, but the audio is a secret for now because it’s one of my Italian Summer reads for my new Reading Simplified series.
Before I get to my recent and current reads, plus a bunch of great links I found over the last couple weeks, I thought it would be fun to share the books I’ve read (ranked in order of enjoyment) from the NYT Best Books of the 21st Century List and the top 10 (of 25) that I want to read…..
