💬 Friday Thread: What 2025 Books Are You Anticipating?
And What Have You Been Reading This Week?
Happy Friday!
We made it to the weekend! I’m simultaneously surprised to write that we’re already heading into the last week of January next week, but also, it’s felt like the longest month. I tend to start to feel like that in January, especially as the frigid cold, gray days in Ohio start to pile up.
One thing I have been feeling really energized about is reading—my actual reading has been great this month (sharing the 5 star book I just finished in the comments), but I’m also feeling an increasing level of excitement about 2025 releases. I say increasing because I’ve started shifting my upcoming new release focus to searching for books I think may end up being under the radar, as well as new releases from small or Independent presses. In doing so, I’ve been feeling very excited about the abundance of possibilities, as well as the fact that I’m not seeing or hearing anything (so far) about the 2025 books I’ve been adding to my tbr lately. I’m sharing seven of those upcoming new releases today. I can’t wait to see what 2025 titles you’re excited to read and what you’ve been reading lately.
ICYMI - I added an audio podcast to this week’s The Weekly Rewind- I’ve removed the paywall for the weekend if you’d like to check it out:)
Question Time
The questions I ask in weekly threads are meant to be fun and help us connect, so please know you don’t have to answer each question, if you only have the time/desire to answer one, great! Please put book titles IN ALL CAPS for easy reading:)
