I feel like February has been another stellar month of reading for me. It’s not often I come across a book I end up calling literary fiction perfection, but this month I’ve had two! One you already know about—Slanting Towards the Sea by Lidija Hilje (read my full review here) and the other you’ll hear about in today’s episode. All three of the surprise reads I’m sharing about today are very different, but I think if you enjoy translated fiction, literary mysteries, and literary/contemporary fiction with a survivalist plot line you’ll like hearing about my surprise picks this month.
